Army Cruiser

As you probably have seen in the photos below that my bike is done. Its a great smooth ride (That's what she said). The only issue i have with repainting bikes is the inevitable chipping. Thank gosh with flat paint you can usually touch it up and it hides really well. Any how let me know what you think. If you have something bad to say, i would suggest not saying it , or i will rip your face off. *Joking* The seat on the bike is a old brooks frame I got for $8, went to the local leather store bought some thick-ass leather, and riveted it in. pretty comfy, but I would like to get the real deal. So id anyone has one they hate and just want to get rid of let me know!!

Wifes Bike/ Freakbike Sept Ride.

Hey Guys, sorry I haven't been posting as much as I would like. Busy season, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. Today My wife and I went for a great ride with Freakbike GHC and it was great. I am going to be putting a link to a small galley from today. The picture included here is of my wifes bike. She ripped it apart, polished the hell out of the rims, picked the colours. and helped reassemble. Rides like a dream. Let me know what you think!.

Fixies: Still a cruiser?

Now, I know what you are all going to say, “Fixies are not cruisers”. They are not “beach” cruisers, but they are single speed bikes as well, most of them are vintage, and are usually customized etc. So I would consider them cruisers as much as a low rider bike. Watching these guys and gals brake is something else. I have a single speed bike; I am just waiting to find a cheap fixed rear wheel. I love the stripped down look of the bike. Very clean. Check out this Video from some Fixie collective in SF. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0AFpq6jFok

"Is anyone getting rid of one of these?"

I just finished sanding the Chrome on my bike to finish painting it. And I am wondering if maybe someone has a old Army Motorcycle the don't want! (yeah right!). This is the "theme" of my cruiser. So I scour endlessly looking for reference to what I want to achieve with my bike. I have thought about getting a small air raid siren for my bike. However, I was told that it would to" look at me" (This was from a guy who was to busy looking at his own bike to enjoy everyone else's on a ride!). So I may yet still do that. but I will keep updates on my bikes progress to completion.

Old School Cruiser Gangs .

Now a days we open our garage, grab our bike and go for a ride. Our cruiser forefathers had it rough. Grab your bike. fold it down, strap it to your back. hike for 20 miles, unfold you bike, raise a family, then maybe....maybe go for a ride. Beautiful bikes!. Reminds me of the Swiss Army bike, just older. So today, may the hats of the T.W.C.B. go off to our Cruiser forefathers. Paving the path for way wicked bikes.

Chicks, Man!

Theres something to be said about women who are into vintage bikes and customizing bikes. I think it is a prodominetly male thing, but there are some women who do enjoy the hobby. Here is a picture of Zooey Deschanel. Now I am sure that she probably is not into repairing and customizing her bike, but its a great picture!?!. In the photo garage, you will notice that there is going to be a "Cuties on Cruisers" Gallery. Send them my way and I can add them!

Let the fun begin....

Hello all. Welcome to the Toronto Wide Cruiser Brigade's web page. The purpose of this Club is too bring together people from the G.T.A. who have a great fondness for cruiser bicycles. To share info, projects, pictures and culture. Anything goes. I really hope this takes off and becomes something. I hope to have some fun and meet some new people doing so. Thanks so stopping by, and let the fun begin....
